Key Largo 2015
We only have one more week on the boat. Tomorrow, it will be three weeks since we arrived here at Pilot House. The last few days have been chilly, but compared to the bitter weather in NJ it is positively balmy!
Today we took a cruise on the African Queen, yes the very same little steamship that starred in the movie! We went with friends and had a really great time. The captain blew the whistle, the motor clanked along and we ended the trip by chugging past a lazy manatee! Altogether a good day.
Happy hour found us all at the glass bottom bar, where we ate dinner, and now Joe and I are relaxing on the boat. We took some pictures:

Goodbye To All This
We leave Sunday morning; hard to believe that we have been on the boat a whole month. I will miss some things a lot, and some not at all. The marine toilet for one. Having the two washers available in use whenever I need to do laundry. Climbing down the gangplank when the tide is very high. Oh, but the soft summer breezes, the sun sparkling on the water and bare feet!
Here is the best and worst of our February adventure.
